Cannabis companies should be in constant conversation and dialogue about diversity and inclusion. Developing a robust relationship with M4MM through these conversations depends on timing and an alignment of motivations and goals. To determine if your organization is ready, you should:
M4MM wants to find the best point of connection within your organization. Ensuring that both groups have the same diversity and inclusion goals and are open to similar ideas on how to achieve them. Being proactive about connecting with your organization is a necessary step in establishing shared values, and promoting the message that you are looking for a mutually beneficial partnership, not just one that solely addresses our own needs. We can be your diversity and inclusion point of connection.
M4MM looks at where there is a lack of connection between major stakeholders in your community and be that connection. Successful partnerships have emerged from cannabis organizations that orient themselves as a point of connection between the communities of color, community organizations, faith-based organizations, city government, and local colleges and universities.
The leaders of companies across the country gave the following examples of programs when asked how they have successfully formed relationships with M4MM.
So you have determined M4MM has shared values, priorities, or goals with your organization Now you are ready to make an investment in M4MM's success and commitment to the community.
